My deepest thoughts.

Del and i attended my company's HR gathering at Turfclub on Friday evening. Thanks to yun for the tixs and carpark voucher. It was an eye opening at turfclub. For the 1st time, i saw the horses gallop at such fast pace, the crowds cheering for the horse they placed heavy bets on and us, picking horses according to our own instincts...

Ambience was right, food was good and company was awsome. A good closing to my friday night.

Lunch at Ichiban . We heard that there is this section at the basement of JP with many Japanese stalls and so, we went to check it out. Hmmm, they were resturants and not stalls. :)

Last night, Del and i attended Jon's 21st B'day party at Grand Copthorne Waterfront. A really cool 21st i've attended so far.. :)

1st Anni in BKK.

On 17 July, we left on a jet plane, flew across the islands, to the other hot burning island.. Thailand.

Our crazy shopping expedition began once we touched down at BKK. Checked into Ambassador hotel, a relatively old hotel. Facilities in the room was kinda rundown, not recommended. Nevertheless, the breakfast provided daily was good. Grand Business Inn which is located further down the street would be a better choice. Both the hotels are located near the NANA station, are pretty accessible. 2 stops from Chit Lom where all the shopping centres are... like SIAM paragon, Platinum mall, Central Mall etc. Also, it only takes less than 10mins to travel to Chinatown via cab.

For the 1st time, i lost interest in shopping. My lower back hurts for every step i walked due to excessive walking.. even the foot massage did not help to ease the pain. :( It's not advisable to shop at MBK. Everything there is overpriced and the sales attendants there are pretty rude. They would rather sell to the ang mohs than us coz they don't bargain as much... i supposed. OVERPRICED! OVERPRICED! On the other hand, you can find many good bargains at Chaktuchak... but warning: it's freaking warm in there!

Eat. Shop. Eat. Shop. :)

And, talking about food, Bkk has many cheap and good food. Sizzler and Sushi Teh especially are DIRT cheap. Yes, CHEAP is emphasized! 180baht (~$7+) for a salmon set meal and Sizzler's salad bar is 149baht (~$6) eat all u want!!! Something different, PORK BURGER is available at BKK Mac~!!!!

It has been an enjoyable trip together with that fun-loving couple & del's super high endurance parents.. My number one good travelmates~!! The "anything" couple was humorous and really compromising.. Del's "never complain tired" parents followed us day in day out like they are in their early 20s... which got me totally impressed! Not to forget, my loveliest 1st Anni with del. Surprise!! Oh my.. i'm all dumbfounded. Thank you so much, baby del!

5 days 4 nights zoomed passed in a flash of light.

Last weekend, del and i headed to JB together with his family. There was a long jam both going in and coming back to Singapore. Nevertheless, it was a full-filling trip.. like it has always been.

The Great M'sia SALES.. Yeah.. cheap.. cheaper.. with the good exchange rate now. Cheap food, cheap necessities, cheap MANGO clothes.. The MANGO jeans in M'sia is retailing at RM 55~!! And these, explains the tonnes of Singapore cars parked in the mall. :) We love our neighbour.. don't we?
